MCT Invests in 3rd Engine End of Line Test Rig

Following the award of the new Ford 1.0 litre Fox Engine, MCT has invested in a brand new End of Line Engine Test Rig. This rig has been designed and built in house with software supplied by Omiga Technology Ltd.

The project is a culmination of several months worth of hard work, design prep and in house manufacturing. A testament to the extensive skill set available within the business.

This test rig has been designed to work with all existing MCT engines, in addition to the brand new Fox 1.0 Litre EcoBoost Engine. We have intentionally made this design future compatible, so that any potential upcoming products can be mounted on this rig and tested with a simple cassette replacement.

Having learnt from previous test rig developments, we have created a much smaller test rig guard that can be completely removed, which makes for easier access to the rig itself. This takes up less footprint on the shop floor without risk to health and safety.

This engineering triumph has taken pride of place on our factory floor and the team have all expressed how pleased they are with it’s performance. Well done everyone!!
